A decision hasn’t been made yet on the course for next month’s Wabash Cannonball Downhill Derby sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. The derby has always gone down 3rd Street starting at Market Street. Since Market Street has been repaved in the last year in front of city hall, race organizers are considering moving the derby to Market Street starting at 2nd Street and going down the hill toward the VFW. City Commissioner Eric Ikemire, who is also a Kiwanian, polled the city council Monday to see if there would be any issues with moving the race. All of the commissioners and Mayor Joe Judge gave the okay for the race to use either route.
