On 5/18/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jeffrey S. Keepes, age 60, of Mt. Carmel, for Burglary. Police were called to the apartment building located at 5th & Poplar Street regarding a burglary to one of the apartments. Officers investigated the complaint further and eventually located some of the stolen property at an apartment occupied by Keepes. That, as well as a witness statement, led to the arrest of Keepes for Burglary. Keepes was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.
