Sales and income tax receipts continue to look favorable for the city of Mt. Carmel. Finance Commissioner Eric Ikemire reported at Monday’s city council meeting that sales tax receipts are already more than $614,000 for the year based on a budgeted $1 million and income tax receipts are $480,000 based on a $665,000 budget. There are still more than 5 months remaining in the city’s fiscal year that ends April 30th.
