Traffic stop leads to arrest of Kokomo man on Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Paraphernalia charge.

On October 11, 2019, at 1:46 p.m. A federal officer was southbound on Interstate 69 when a small hatchback car passed them at an extremely high rate of speed. The Officer caught up to the vehicle and paced it at 103 mph. A traffic stop was conducted at the 27 mile marker and Deputy Jennifer Loesch was dispatched to assist in the investigation. During the investigation hypodermic needles with Methamphetamine residue were found in the vehicle. Also located during the investigation was a Marijuana pipe. At the conclusion of their investigation Deputy Loesch placed 30 year old Alex Peterson of Kokomo into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Peterson was charged with Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia. He has since posted a $1250 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
