Owensville Man Arrested for Child Exploitation

Gibson County – A 28-year-old Owensville man was arrested Friday by Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit for Child Exploitation and Possession of Child Pornography.

A search warrant was issued in April after Indiana State Police received a tip that Coty N. Silvers was allegedly possessing child pornography. Detectives with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force located and seized several devices belonging to Silvers. The devices were later examined and over 1,200 images and 45 videos containing child pornography were located. Some images and videos contained children under the age of 12. After reviewing the investigation, the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant for Silvers’ arrest.  He was arrested Friday afternoon at his residence without incident. Silvers was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
