EARNEST SHINES AT HARRISBURG

Mt. Carmel junior, Hazel Earnest, had quite a day Monday at the Chuck Ingram Girls Invitational Track Meet hosted by Harrisburg. Earnest won both the 100 meter high hurdles (16.36) and the 300 meter low hurdles (50.42). Her times in both hurdle events were personal bests and her time in the low hurdles exceeded the state qualification standard. Earnest topped her day off with a second place finish in the 100 meter run (13.50).

Teammate Zoie Randall had an impressive day as well, winning the high jump with a personal best jump of 5 feet 4 inches, which exceeded the state qualification standard.

As a team the Lady Aces finished in 6th place.
