Rain Suspends Jackets Game At Clay City

On Thursday, August 22nd, Yellow Jackets baseball traveled to Clay City for WEAA Conference action. Clay City struck first in the bottom of the 2nd inning with two runs to take the lead. The Yellow Jackets battled back in the top of the 3rd inning to tie it up at two apiece, then turned around and gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the third inning in a downpour. At the conclusion of the third inning, the game was suspended at that point and will be concluded at a later date. Offensively, Brendan Bowser had 2 hits, an rbi, and run scored; Rhett Andrews had a hit and rbi; Levi Margelin had a walk; Michael Smith had a walk; and Landon Wilford had a walk and run scored. Pitching for the Yellow Jackets was Brendan Bowser. He gave up 6 hits, 2 walks, 1 HBP, 7 K's, and 5 runs. Again, this game will be resumed at a later date to be determined.
