Mt. Carmel Jr. High Girls Track participated in the JNEC conference meet on Monday, April 30th and placed 3rd out of 5 teams.
First place: Taylor Singer- Shotput 30’11” (New Conference Record) and High Jump 4’10”, 800m relay team 1:59.64 (Lexi Slane, Kenley Drone, Jordan Smith, Flynn Guard)
Second place: Carli Merrit-Shotput 28’8 ½” and Discus 71’10”, Taylor Singer-400m 1:06.36, Flynn Guard-8th grade 100m 13.86 and 200m 28.72, 6th grade 400m relay team 1:00.29 (Shelby Mayhue, Kathryn Blake, Piper Belt, Selby Patberg)
Third place: Jordan Smith-Long Jump 13’7 ½”, Selby Patberg-6th grade 100m 14.56, Varsity 400m Relay 57.18 (Lexi Lewis, Brianna Hiatt, Jordan Smith, Kenley Drone)
“We had some tough competition during this conference meet. I am proud of my girls and many received personal bests. Taylor Singer broke the JNEC record with her shot put throw of 30’11” and did a great job," Coach Lindsey Hadley said.
