Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Grab Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat NCOE

· ·         Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Varsity nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Varsitybatting in the top of the sixth when Bret Doan singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

·         Norris City-Omaha-Enfield knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the third inning. Brandon Skaggs drew a walk, scoring one run.

·         Evan Kieffer was the winning pitcher for Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven.

·         Trey Simmons took the loss for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield. He lasted six and a third innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out four.

·         Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Varsity scattered seven hits in the game. Kieffer and Connor Lane each had multiple hits for Mt. Carmel Golden Aces VarsityLane and Kieffer all had two hits to lead Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Varsity.

·         Jack Riggs went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Norris City-Omaha-Enfield in hits.
