On Thursday, December 7th, the St. Mary’s Lady Rockets played Olney St. Joe in the WEAA Conference Tournament, held at Jasper (Fairfield) Grade School. Olney St. Joe defeated St. Mary’s 29 - 19. St. Mary’s led at the end of the first quarter 9 – 4, but trailed 13 – 12 at halftime; and 22 – 19 at the end of third quarter. Eden Wankel led St. Mary’s in scoring with 6 points. Emma Keepes added 4 points, Mady Young 4 points, Savannah Zimmerman 3 points, and Olivia Stinson 2 points. Olney St. Joe was led in scoring by Fairless with 12 points.
St. Mary’s next game is on January 2nd, when they travel to New Hope to take on the Lady Panthers.
