Aces Rip Red Hill To Set Up Showdown With T-Town

The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces ran away from Red Hill this morning to beat the Salukis 66-49 in the final game of pool play at 29th annual Lawrence County Basketball Capital Classic.

The Aces finish pool play with a perfect 3-0 record after winning both games on Friday. Brayden Stipp led the way with 17 points.

In today's game, Mt. Carmel built a 22 point halftime lead that allowed coach Tyler Buss to rest starters for a good part of the second half in preparation of tonight's title game.

The win sets up a rematch in tonight's championship game against Teutopolis. The Aces beat the Wooden Shoes last year to capture the BCC title. Tonight's game is scheduled for 8pm at Red Hill High School in Bridgeport. The game can be heard on WSJD-FM 100.5 and on
