Everett Noble Bump, Sr., 73, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born November 16, 1947, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the son of James and Martha (Fisher) Bump. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and went directly into the military.

Truck driving was Everett’s lifetime career. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing and spending time on his computer.

Left to cherish Everett’s memory are his children Brian (Jenny) Bump of Mt. Carmel, Candi (Dustin) Vaupel of Allendale, Illinois, David (Susan) Bump, Everett Bump, Jr., and Chevy (Kali) Bump all of Mt. Carmel; sister, Linda (Ralph) Lambert of Mt. Carmel; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Davin Wayne Dale Bump; and siblings, Mary Lou Bump, Vern Bump and James Bump.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery at 11th and Plum Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
