Ronald Keith Meyer, 77, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab. He was born on November 3, 1943, in Wabash County Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Emiline (Massey) Meyer.

Ronald was raised in California where his father had relocated the family due to health problems. He had worked in the forest service industry, however, his love of music led him to pursue a career as a singer-song writer in California, Illinois and Nashville, Tennessee. He eventually returned to his hometown to be near family and spend the rest of his life.

Ronald is survived by his children, Ron Meyer, Ronson Meyer and Ronette Meyer; sisters, Della Majors and husband Homer, Linda Brooks; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Larry Meyer.

In keeping with Ronald’s wishes, cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest in Hallock Cemetery.
