On 01.02.19 at 9:20 a.m. Troy A. Hinderliter, 52 of Mt. Carmel was taken into custody at the Wabash County Courthouse for an original charge of Violation of an Order of Protection warrant. The warrant was issued for an incident on 12.20.18 where Hinderliter is accused of having contact with a prohibited party. Hinderliter posted $1,000 cash bail and was released.
Man Arrested On 2 Counts Of Aggravated Domestic Battery
On 01.01.19 at 10:06 a.m. the Wabash County Sheriff's Office went to a rural Wabash County residence to investigate a report of a domestic battery. Later that day around 1:00 p.m. 40 year old Joshua K. Horrall was taken into custody. Horrall was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Domestic Battery with Bond being set at $5,000 cash. Horrall later posted bond and was released.

Mt. Carmel Man Picked Up On Lawrence County Warrant
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 31 year old Joshua S. Baker of Mt. Carmel after police received information that he was wanted on a Lawrence County warrant for violation of an order of protection. Police located Baker in the 800 block of W. 3rd Street and placed under arrest. Baker was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond or transfer to Lawrence County.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 31 year old Carl P. Pierce after he stopped a police officer and asked for a ride to his mother’s. The officer knew Pierce was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. Pierce was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant. Pierce is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of $1,000.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Man Arrested Following Incident On South End
01/08/2018-At approximately 10:30 A.M., Mt. Carmel Police responded to the 200 block of McDowell Street in reference to a male subject waving a large metal pole in the roadway. Police arrived on scene and found a window broken out of the old Big Jons Lunch Box and a 10 foot pole in the roadway. Police then located the suspect, Christopher J. Perry, age 33, of Mt. Carmel in the area of Cherry and McDowell. Perry was yelling and cursing in the roadway when police located him. After a brief struggle police were able to place Perry under arrest. Perry was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with criminal damage to property (felony), disorderly conduct, and resisting a peace officer. Perry was held pending the posting of bond.
Traffic Stop Leads To Enfield Woman's DUI Arrest
01/07/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 46 year old Mayzelle Boyd of Enfield after she was stopped by the Mt. Carmel Police. The arresting officer reported that he believed Boyd was under the influence of alcohol. Boyd was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for DUI, failure to signal, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Boyd was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
