Reckless Driving Complaint Leads To Arrest Of Albion Man for DUI

06/03/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 40 year old Nathaniel A. Anderson of Albion after he was stopped by MCPD Officers.  The vehicle Anderson was driving was called in as a reckless driver.  Police located the vehicle in the 400 block of W. 9th Street and made contact with Anderson.  The arresting officer reported smelling an alcoholic beverage smell coming from Anderson.  Anderson was arrested for DUI and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was given a citation for DUI.  Anderson was held pending the posting of bond.

Evansville Man Busted For DUI By MCPD

 

6/1/18-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 53 year old Charles R. Leonard Jr., of Evansville after police responded to a reckless driver complaint on Rt. 1.  Police located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.  The arresting officer reported smelling an alcoholic beverage smell coming from the driver and requested he submit to field sobriety testing.  Leonard was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and illegal transportation of alcohol.  Leonard was held pending the posting of bond.

Lane Restrictions Planned for SR 68 in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions coming for State Road 68 near Haubstadt.  

Beginning on or around Wednesday June 13, contractors will close one lane of S.R. 68 between S.R. 65 and I-69 for pavement patching work. This patching is in advance of a future paving project. During the project, S.R. 68 will be brought down to one 12-foot lane controlled by flagging crews.

Restrictions will be in place during the work day and lifted in the evenings. The pavement patching project is expected to take until early to mid-July depending upon weather conditions. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.

Woman Arrested After Needles Found In Vehicle

The following information was released today by Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan:

 

On 05/27/18 the Wabash County Sheriff Office stopped a vehicle for driving in the wrong lane and off the roadway. Upon stopping the vehicle the deputy advised the driver the reason for the stop. After issuing the driver, Chelse A. Wilkinson, a written warning for the violation a free air narcotic sniff was performed by K9 Roy and Deputy Bogard. K9 Roy alerted to the vehicle and Wilkinson was found to be in possession of hypodermic needles.  Wilkinson was taken to the Wabash County Jail and late posted bond.

Domestic Dispute Leads To Arrest Of Browns Man

The following information was released today by Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan:

On 05/19/18 the Wabash County Sheriff's Office arrested 58 year old Jackie Beal of Browns.  Deputies had handled 2 calls with Beal, one being a verbal domestic over $20 and the other over a concern for his own safety called in by another family member.  During the first call Beal handed over firearms to deputies since he did not have a valid F.O.I.D. card. It was found on the second call that he in fact had additional firearms inside the residence.  Beal was transported to the Wabash County jail where he later posted $150 cash bond.

Keensburg Man Free On Bond After Domestic Battery Arrest

The following information was released today by Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan:

 

On 05/16/18 the Wabash County Sheriff's Office assisted the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services with a complaint. The result of that investigation led to the arrest of 27 year old Jeffery L. Isham of Keensburg.  Isham was charged with two counts of Domestic battery and taken to the Wabash County jail.  Isham later posted a $2000 cash bond to secure his release.

Keensburg Man Lands In DOC After Fight

The following information was released today by Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan:

On 05/12/18 the Wabash County Sheriff's Office responded to 2nd St. in Keensburg reference a fight in progress.  Once on scene it was determined a male occupant had gotten into a physical altercation with a friend.  Once the fight broke out in the residence a family member stepped in to stop the fight. Parties were separated but not before a bat was used against the victim and the aggressor. 30 year old Joseph D. Payne, of Keensburg, was charged with domestic battery and taken to the Wabash County Jail. The Illinois Department of Corrections issued a no bond warrant for Payne as well for a parole violation. Payne was taken to the Wabash County Jail and later transferred to the custody of the Department of Corrections.

Suspicious Vehicle Report Results In Arrest Of Indiana Man

The following information was released today by Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan:

On 05/01/18 at 12:53 A.M. the Wabash County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle.  The vehicle a Chevy truck was reported to be pulling into driveways and backing out in the rural Friendsville area.  Deputies responded and were updated by the complainant that the truck had crashed and the occupant had ran into the wooded area.  Deputy Bogard and K9 Roy started to track the suspect whom gave himself up very quickly. Glenn Tyler Tenbarge, 29 of Carlisle IN, was taken into custody without incident.  Tenbarge was charged with numerous traffic offenses as well as possession of methamphetamine.
