As work continues on the 9th Street repaving project, a start date has been announced for another big road project in Mt. Carmel. The repaving of College Drive from 13th Street to Park Road is tentatively set to begin September 12th according to city engineer Dave Dallas. Last month, the City Council approved a $402,691 bid from Howell Paving to do the work. Dallas said the project must been done by the end of the year or the state will pull their share of funding for the project. The bid was below the project estimate according to Dallas.
