On January 1, 2025, at 1:25 p.m. 53 year old Michael R. Kegg Jr. of Decker was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail and charged with murder for his alleged involvement in the New Year’s Eve double homicide at 7027 East State Road 64near Francisco.
This continues to be an active and open investigation. Citizens are encouraged to check their home and business surveillance systems for video footage for suspicious activities on December 30th-31st. If any evidence is found please contact detectives at the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Indiana State Police.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
