The Mt. Carmel city council Monday voted to donate $2,500 to the Christmas Uptown Festival set for Friday night, December 6th. Spokesman Terry Beckerman said the donation is the same as to what the city gave last year, and the money will be used to help offset the $13,000 that is spent on bringing various attractions to the festival.
