Wanted man arrested for fleeing law enforcement

On November 12, 2024, at 9:07 a.m. Officers from multiple law enforcement agencies went to the 900 block of North County Road 500 West to serve a Felony arrest warrant for nonsupport of a child on 29 year old Jason Martin of Princeton. Upon arriving on scene Deputies observed Mr. Martin run from the back of a residence to a lay down lot at a local business where he attempted to hide from law enforcement.  Sgt. Loren Barchett arrived in the area with K9 partner “Duke” and after announcing that a K9 was on scene Mr. Martin came out of a culvert that he was hiding in and was taken into custody.

Deputy Wes Baumgart transported Mr. Martin to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with a new charge of Resisting Law Enforcement in addition to the outstanding Nonsupport warrant.

Deputy Baumgart was assisted by Sgt. Loren Barchett, Deputy Michael Owens, Deputy Quinten Might, Deputy Jennifer Loesch, Deputy U.B. Smith, and K9 Duke.  Also assisting were Princeton Officers Jason Swan, Dan Goedde, and Craig Zurliene.
