On 1/17/24, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Preston Cory Pierce, age 34, of Mt. Carmel on 4 counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault, 3 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, and 1 count of Criminal Sexual Assault following an investigation to allegations that Pierce had sexually abused three different juvenile victims between the years 2011 to 2016. Pierce was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he is being detained pending trial following a hearing in Wabash Circuit Court on 1/19/24. This case remains under investigation and no further information will be released due to the nature of the allegations.
