On 5/30/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Charles B. Garrett, age 57, of Mt. Carmel, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a domestic dispute at his residence in the 400 block of N Walnut Street. During the investigation, officers observed a glass pipe containing a burnt white residue inside of it along with two straws containing a white powdery residue. These items are commonly used to ingest narcotics, particularly methamphetamine. Garrett was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Garrett was held pending the posting of bond. The domestic dispute was unfounded.
