Mt. Carmel Man Arrested For 2nd Time In A Week

On 5/28/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Joshua A. McClellan, age 28, currently of Mt. Carmel, for Violation of an Order of Protection, Harassment by Electronic Communication, Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer, and Aggravated Intimidation.  The arrest stemmed from a O.P. violation report earlier in the day from a protected party with McClellan being the respondent.  Since probable cause existed that a violation occurred, the protected party was allowed to sign a complaint for his arrest.  Shortly thereafter, another officer located McClellan walking on foot near 7th & Market Street and ordered him to stop.  McClellan refused and continued on before being stopped by an assisting officer.  McClellan was eventually taken into custody but not before a struggle ensued.  McClellan also made threats of bodily harm towards one of the officers as well.  McClellan was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.  MCPD previously arrested McClellan for Violating an Order of Protection on 5/23/23.
