On 4/26, at 3:17 p.m. a Wabash County deputy observed a passenger vehicle at 3rd and Poplar streets in Mt. Carmel with a passenger whom was wanted for questioning. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and took 39-year-old Matthew M. Berberich into custody after a brief interview. This investigation stems from several SheriffApp tips received by Wabash County Crimestoppers of Berberich living at an address in Mt. Carmel while being registered in Bellmont. Berberich has since received a recognizance bond from the court and has been released on 04/28/23.
