Country Legend To Headline Wabash Roots’N’Que ‘23

Wabash Roots’N’Que ‘23 has announced Country Legend Leona Williams as headliner for the Festival, scheduled for Saturday May 20th at Merchants Park on Market Street in Mt. Carmel Illinois.

Leona Williams has written a myriad of hits for artists such as Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Connie Smith, Johnny Bush and the list goes on.  Some of her songs include No. 1 hits like "You Take Me for Granted," "Someday When Things are Good (I'm Gonna Leave You), "Dallas," and "The Bull and the Beaver."  Leona has been featured on The Grand Ole Opry, RFDtv's "Country Family Reunion," and was just recently the host of the "Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree" on 650-WSM Nashville.  She performs regularly in Branson, MO with "The Grand Ladies of Country Music."  The WRNQ is excited to bring this legend to Mt Carmel.  Leona will perform in the evening and be joined by her son, Nashville recording artist and writer, Ron Williams.  A full schedule of the day's activities, including other performers, workshops, and vendors will be released soon!
