Wabash County Health Department Administrator Judy Wissel reported on some positive grant funding news at yesterday’s board of health meeting. Wissel said the biggest news is the health department is receiving a $200,000 vaccination grant….
Wissel said the grant money will be used by the health department for such things as flu clinics, the Back to School Bash, and kids vaccines. It’s also hoped part of the grant can be used to help pay for the recently installed generator at the health department. In addition to the vaccination grant, Wissel said the health department received a $5,000 public health emergency program grant. She said that money will go help pay for the generator.
