On 10/20/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Branson R. Hall, age 24, of Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County Warrant for Domestic Battery and Stalking.  Acting on an anonymous tip, police responded to a trailer at 1149 W 3rd Street to a report of Hall being at a specific trailer.  Hall had on at least two occasions fled from law enforcement due to the outstanding warrant.  Police arrived and made contact with the occupants.  The occupant admitted Hall was there and that he refused to exit the home.  Ofc. Hopper and K-9 Eleven arrived and entered the home with the resident’s consent.  When K-9 Eleven alerted in one of the bedrooms, Hall give up and exited between a mattress and its box spring.  Hall was placed under arrest without further incident.  A search of Hall’s bag found a hypodermic syringe and needle as well as several items used in the process of ingesting methamphetamine.  Hall was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was issued the warrant along with a charge for the syringe and drug paraphernalia.  Hall is being held pending a detention hearing.
