On 1/03/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jacob A. Lindsey, age 39, of Crestwood, Kentucky for Burglary to Motor Vehicle after police received a compliant regarding Lindsey entering a vehicle which belonged to a resident in the area of 2nd & Mulberry. Lindsey was still in the area when police arrived, claiming he was looking for sanding paper for drywall work. Police later learned that Lindsey was staying at a residence on 3rd Street with a friend. The owner of the burglarized vehicle signed a complaint for Lindsey’s arrest and he was transported to the Wabash County Jail. It should be noted that Lindsey was also observed attempting to enter into another vehicle; however, it was locked preventing his entry. Lindsey was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.
