On 5/15/22, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Aaron J. Simmons, age 18, of Mt. Carmel, for Residential Burglary. Officers received a complaint allegedly Simmons kicked in a door and stole a T.V. from a residence located in the 200 block of West 12th Street and left. On 5/16/22, officers spoke to Simmons who admitted to kicking the door in but denied stealing the TV. Simmons admitted his behavior was retaliatory in nature due to actions from one of the residents at the home. Simmons was placed under arrest and taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending a bond setting by a judge.
