One part of Wabash General Hospital’s strategic plan is to hire a grant writer to help secure additional sources of revenue for the hospital. But, Wabash General Hospital President/CEO Karissa Turner told the hospital board this week that hiring a grant writer poses several hurdles including finding a qualified candidate, paying that person’s wages and benefits, and making sure grant sources continue providing opportunities. Instead of hiring a grant writer, the hospital board accepted Turner’s recommendation of partnering with Innovative Funding Partners which will write grant applications on behalf of Wabash General. Turner said the time is right to enter into this type of agreement….
The board entered into an initial 6 month agreement with Innovative Funding Partners to get a feel if they’re a good for the hospital.
