On September 26, 2021, at 2:08 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a disturbance in the 300 block of East Sinclair Street in Fort Branch. Upon arriving on scene Deputy U.B. Smith located the disturbance and with the assistance of Haubstadt Officer Riley Farmer and Fort Branch Officers Trenton and Tyler Harker he conducted an investigation into the incident. At the conclusion of his investigation 49-year-old Gregory Howard of Fort Branch and 46-year-old Lisa Geier of Mount Carmel were taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Howard was charged with Battery and Interfering With The Reporting Of A Crime. Ms. Geier was charged with Battery.
