The city council has approved a bid from Kieffer Brothers Construction to correct the water main situation at Third and Walnut Streets. A massive break there last year nearly drained one of the city’s water towers before city crews could control the break. Since then, a temporary stop gap measure has been in place until a permanent solution was found. Now, the city will spend $76,900 so Kieffer Brothers Construction can correct the issue for good.
