The Wabash County Board has agreed to work with the Animal Shelter Buddies in drawing up paperwork for the animal shelter that was built 12 years ago. At the recent County Board meeting, local attorney Mike Witters, representing the Shelter Buddies, said when the shelter was built, no paperwork or lease agreements were ever executed….
Witters asked commissioners to consider a 99 year lease with the Shelter Buddies paying a token $1 a year for the lease. Witters also requested a non-exclusive easement. Commissioners will investigate the issue further before formally entering into the agreement.
