Owensville woman arrested on drug charges

On April 14, 2021, at 12:43 p.m. Gibson County Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a welfare check on a White 2003 Lincoln passenger car that was parked the wrong direction on County Road 850 South near County Road 1025 West. Upon approaching the vehicle and identifying the occupants Deputy Smith detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that point he began a roadside investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation 58-year-old Tina Winemiller was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Ms. Winemiller was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She has since posted a $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
