One Injured In US 40 Crash

ISP INVESTIGATES TRAFFIC CRASH WITH INJURY

The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12

 

WHAT:                      Two Unit Traffic Crash with Injury

WHERE:                   US Route 40 at Fayette County Road 1470 ST, Fayette County.

WHEN:                      March 25, 2021 at 3:45 p.m.

VEHICLES:              Unit 1 – Tan 2001 Chevrolet Silverado

                                    Unit 2 – Silver 2004 Chevrolet Silverado

DRIVERS:                 Unit 1 – Abagail Durbin, a 22-year-old female from Brownstown, IL – Transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

                                    Unit 2 – Brock Oberlink, a 22-year-old male from Brownstown, IL – Refused medical attention.

 

PRELIMINARY:      Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling westbound on US Route 40 at Fayette County Road 1470 ST, Fayette County. Unit 2 was traveling westbound on US 40, attempting to turn into a private drive. Unit 1 struck the rear end of Unit 2. Unit 2 then overturned in the right ditch. Unit 1 driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further information will be disseminated at this time.

 

CHARGES:               The driver of Unit 1 was issued a citation for Following Too Closely.
