The Mt. Carmel street department’s yearly battle against potholes has gotten more difficult this year. Street Department superintendent Dave Easter told the city council pothole patch is scarce this year….
Easter said since the city uses motor fuel tax funds to pay for the patch, the material must meet state specs and requires additional paperwork. Both of which make finding a replacement supplier more difficult. He asked for motorists’ patience as workers will fill potholes as long as there is patch available.
