The holiday season made its first appearance on Market Street yesterday as city crews started the process of installing the huge Christmas tree decorations. City Clerk Ryan Turner announced at Monday’s City Council meeting that the holiday decorations were typically put up right before Thanksgiving, but were being moved up to this week to make things less hectic for city crews. It’s expected all intersections will be decorated by the end of the day today.
Turner also announced that City Hall will close at noon next Wednesday and be closed the 25th and 26th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
