At the most recent meeting of the Mt. Carmel City Council, finance commissioner Eric Ikemire reported that the Mt. Carmel Public Library is good shape financially. According to Ikemire, the library has cash balances of just over $600,000, most of which is in CD’s. Ikemire said the balance is a good sign for the library’s future.
