Evansville Man Sentenced To 8 Years In Prison

A 65 year old Evansville man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison on three different felony counts in Wabash County. Lawrence Bush was arrested by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department after being stopped last November 3rd at Walnut and Chestnut Streets in Mt. Carmel for a traffic infraction. During the stop, it was found Bush had outstanding warrants from Vanderburgh County. A search of his vehicle uncovered two firearms, ammunition, meth, and drug paraphernalia. State’s Attorney Kelli Storckman reports that Bush was sentenced to 8 years, 5 years, and 2 years in prison on charges of use of property, possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession of meth respectively. The sentences will run concurrently. After his release from prison, Bush will be on two years of parole.
