It’s been a little over a year since golf carts and UTV’s became legal on Mt. Carmel streets and police chief Ryan Turner told the city council that the legalization has been smoother than many anticipated.
Turner said the city has issued 181 permits for the golf carts and UTV’s with all of the money generated from the fees going to the police department. Permits for 2021 are now available by stopping by the police department and speaking with the dispatcher.
