Louisville man arrested on multiple charges

On August 4, 2020, at 8:09 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of an accident on State Road 68 near County Road 550 West. The caller advised that a Red Mini Cooper was in a ditch on the Southside of the roadway and that the driver was stumbling out of the vehicle. Gibson County Central Dispatch sent Deputy Garrett Tuley and Haubstadt Police Chief Jeremy Volk to the area to investigate the accident due to the fact that a vehicle with the same description had been involved in a hit and run accident approximately 30 minutes prior to this call. Upon arriving in the area 57-year-old Mark Weissrock of Louisville, Kentucky was found in the area and he admitted to driving the vehicle. While speaking to Mr. Weissrock Deputy Tuley detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver. At that point Deputy Tuley began a roadside investigation. During the investigation Mr. Weissrock became physically combative with the officers and was placed into custody. At that point Mr. Weissrock was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Law Enforcement, Intimidation of Police Officer, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Mr. Weissrock remains in custody on a $750 bond.
