WHERE: Illinois Route 121 at County Road 1350 E (Cumberland County)
WHEN: Friday, July 3, 2020, 10:07 p.m.
VEHICLE: Unit 1: Grey 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer
Unit 2: White 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe
DRIVER: Unit 1: Dylan L. Ealy 20-year-old male of Toledo, IL
(Transported to a local area hospital with injuries)
Unit 2: Haley M. Honselman 38-year-old female of Casey, IL (Transported to a local area hospital with injuries)
PASSENGERS: Unit 1: Dane L. Ealy, 18 year-old male of Toledo, IL (Transported to a local area hospital with injuries)
Unit 2: Eric W. Honselman 38-year-old male of Casey, IL (No injuries)
Unit 2: 9-year-old male of Casey, IL (Transported to a local area hospital with injuries)
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling west on Illinois 121 near County Road 1350 E in Cumberland County. Unit 1 left the roadway to the right and over corrected. Unit 1 crossed the center line and struck Unit 2.
CHARGES: The driver of Unit 1 was issued citations for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Improper Lane Usage.
The public is reminded all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
