Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the state seems to be keeping up with timely payments to Wabash County. Treasurer Beverly McBride reported to the county board last Monday that her office received $37,323 in May income tax receipts along with the salary reimbursements for the public defender, state’s attorney, and assessor for a total of $53,662. Mobile home tax will be sent out soon. McBride said assessor Connie Larry had shifted the mobile home file to her office last Monday. The treasurer’s office will be getting those bills ready and sent out around the end of this month. The mobile home taxes will be due August 3rd.
