On 5/20/20, Mt. Carmel Police received a theft report from a residence in the 300 block of West 3rd Street. The caller reported their deep freezer, and the meat inside of it had been stolen from their front porch. On 5/21/20, Mt. Carmel Police received information that the stolen deep freezer was at a residence in the 400 block of Cedar Street. Officers arrived and located the stolen deep freezer. Further investigation led to the arrest of Thomas E. Fugate, age 31, who was charged with Theft. Fugate was late released on a Notice to Appear.
