Handfuls of local governments in Illinois are easing some restrictions of the stay at home directive, but there is still some question about its validity as opposed to the state’s stance. It’s a question churches in many communities are asking. Some churches appear to be chomping at the bit to reopen, while others are leaning towards playing it safe, waiting until the state’s next phase of the Reopen Illinois plan allows it.
Pat Heston, a pastor at the Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Alton says it will be a complicated process to reopen.
