Sheriff Updates County Board On COVID-19 Protocols

In a written report to county commissioners Monday, Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan outlined the steps being taken by his department in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. Both the courthouse and jail have limited access. All visitors to either facility are screened as they enter, including temperature checks. Morgan said his office had ordered one-thousand N-95 masks, but wrote that his first order was “stolen” – by the federal government. Morgan said the masks will be split with Mt. Carmel Public Utility.
