On 2/17/20 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Scott L. Gayer, age 55, of West Salem, Illinois for Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer following an incident at the hospital. Gayer had initially requested to speak to an officer there before becoming combative towards the responding officer. During the incident Gayer became upset and kicked the officer in the leg at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Gayer was charged and held pending the posting of bond.
