On February 21, 2020, at 1:28 a.m. a White 2003 Buick Century was stopped on State Road 165 near Johnson for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle Owensville Deputy Marshal Jason Wright detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver 27-year-old Caleb Larkins of rural Owensville. Deputy Michael Rose arrived on scene and conducted a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. Larkins being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Larkins was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
