Wabash County officials approved a new cannabis, drug, and alcohol use and abuse policy at Tuesday’s meetings. Some departments, like the highway department, will still have its own standards. And the Health Department, for example, will not be a part of the policy as a whole because of the amount of federal money it receives. State’s Attorney Cassandra Goldman, who recommended adoption along with the county’s insurance carrier, said it was a lengthy policy. It was approved unanimously by commissioners.
