The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police
District 12
WHAT: Single Unit Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE: Saint Marie Road southbound, south of County Road 50th Avenue, Jasper County
WHEN: Dec 22, 2020 at approximately 9:45 p.m.
VEHICLE: Unit 1- 1999 White Dodge
DRIVER: Unit 1- Jeffrey Nicholas, 63-year-old male of Olney, IL (Transported to a local area hospital with injuries)
PRELIMINARY: A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling southbound on Saint Marie Road, south of County Road 50th Avenue. Unit 1 drove off the roadway into the right ditch. Unit 1 continued through the ditch and stopped facing south.
CHARGES: Unit 1 Driver was issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
