“Broken Roots”, named runners-up on the most recent season of “America’s Got Talent”, will be performing at 8pm at Merchants Park in Mount Carmel Illinois this Friday, November 13th.
Austin Edwards and Joey Kar make up the duo who performed together for the first time during the show’s “Auditions I”. They were originally eliminated prior to the live rounds, but were invited to the quarter-finals when another contestant was unable to continue. Austin & Joey eventually made the finals, finishing second, but having the opportunity to perform with Blake Shelton.
Merchants Park also welcomes back Mount Carmel native and regional favorite Cage WIllis. Cage will open the evening’s entertainment at 6:30pm.
Concessions will be available beginning at 4:30pm from Beer Bones BBQ, Two Farmer’s Burgers and Beignets, Kolb’s Culinary Concessions and the Mount Carmel Rotary Club.
A large area is available for those in attendance to allow for social distancing, and masks are strongly encouraged. Be sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
The concert is free, as is parking and entrance to the park area.
The entire evening is made possible by a partnership between First National Bank, Harris Insurance Group & Market Street MTC. More information may be found on the Merchants Park Facebook page.
